Sunday Sketches

I just joined another group. Sunday Sketches. Nelly Bell told me about it . And it is such a great Idea. This is one of the most important processes of my art. This is when all the ideas come. The finished piece sometimes does not look like anything like the sketch but that is where it begins.
Come join the group on http://bluechairdiary.blogspot.com/2010/03/sunday-sketches-official.html Come join the fun.

Wow how about that 2 posts in one day!!!! That Flora Bowley class really started the juices flowing!!!

You can tell by my sketches that I have Christmas on my mind.
This one will be a painting eventually.

This just playing around with one of my Little girls. Wanting to do a holiday girl mixed media painting.

Hi Heather and WELCOME to SS! :) So glad you've joined us. I just love your wreath with the birdie inside. And your little girl with her big dopey eyes is quite lovely. Looking forward to seeing more of your art.

Hi Heather, What is it about spirals that make them so fun? The spirals on your angel caught my eye because I keep doing them, too! I liked your design with the bird; that would make a festive, colorful piece! Wonderful!

Hi, so nice to meet you through Sunday Sketches. I can definitely see the holiday theme here. Your little girl is so sweet, it does look like she has Christmas trees intertwined in her hair. How creative. She has stunning eyes, too! well done. xx

I love seeing the process, sometimes it's intimidating to only see the finished product. It reminds me that it's a lot of steps, surprises and trial to get to that final look. Thanks for stopping by my Blog and leaving a comment, it means a lot ;-)

~Heather~ You can make a pencil jump through hoops for you! I use a lofty amount of rubber before my art takes off to the moon...errr rubber as in erasers. You make it look easy. That's encouraging. I'm excited to see how you'll add color to make her come alive. If I don't pop back over before... Please have a Thanksgiving to remember as one of the best you've ever had~

Thank you for your comments on my blog Heather!

Re: Hashe-Hime, her face is red, puffed up, and swollen from jealousy and drowning. The big cheeks were a challenge. If we had more than a day to work on it I would have done more refinement work on the roundness but, I only had her over for a day.

I am glad that you commented and led me to your delightful blog. Your posts are fun and colorful. I must get back to work on holiday boutique items but, I shall return!

Take Care!

Sometimes I will doodle and sketch for hours on scraps of this or that. I might have to check out this Sunday Sketch group. One can never have enough to inspire!
