Healing, And taking a wee bit of a break

(This is my art journal page. That's me and my boot)

Hello everyone! I am going to take a break for just a short while. I will be back next week. I have to concentrate on my resting and taking care of my foot! It am getting a little weary but it will be so worth it.  Its a bit of a long recovery.  I must complete some frames and painting for a donation to a local nursing home that CNA(My other job) is hosting. They are going to be painting walls and making murals(Can't do because of foot). What I am doing is framing some of my prints and we are going to hang them in there reading/meditation rooms.  I am also going to be having my 2nd Art show in the end of September.  A lot to do! And I still need to heal.  So I am going to give myself permission to walk away from my blog and my computer for a week.
I will miss you all.

I will not be participating in Paint Party Friday this week. But go visit all the other wonderful artists. They would love for you to leave them a comment.

Also if you did not get to read my ART SAVES story on Crescendoh. Check it out! so exciting!

She was always looking in the distance - Crescendoh

She was always looking in the distance, never looking at what was in front of her.
She sees it now, with all its flaws and its beauty.
She sees love

New Painting and Don't forget Cresendoh Next Week!!!!

To be nobody but yourself -- in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else -- means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; never stop fighting.
~ee cummings~

All my life I have tried to conform. But never could quite do it!!! I was always the rebel.  Just a little off. Never wanting to be and do what other people wanted me to do. So stubborn.  I am so glad I did not conformed. I have lived quite a colorful life! (And I'm not done yet!) So much color to be added to it!!! Life is great!!!
Do something this week that you have always wanted to do but was different from what everyone else does! Try it!
I know I will. This week is my Birthday Week and I am going to do something unique. Not sure what. But something different!

Please visit Paint Party Friday hosted by Kristin and Eva!

Also don't forget about my Guest Curator Spot starting Monday at Cresendoh!!!!
Our very own Kristin Dudish and Nelly Eisenhower(My little girl) is one of my featured artists!
Don't forget to leave a comment!

Your only obligation in life is to be true to yourself
~Richard Bach~

This is one of my circle journal entries. I am doing it again this year so you should be seeing one of my entries every month.

This was a difficult piece for me. I don't know if it was because it was round. Beth (the person that this circle journal belongs to) sent pieces of cloth that she is going to put in a hoop. So literally this is going to be a circle journal. She said when it is finished she will be putting them on the wall. I can't wait to see.  I think it is a great idea but for some reason I was stumped on what I wanted to do???  So this is what I came up with.

Sorry I did not get to everyone last week! I tried my best but I was having problems with leaving comments!

Just want to remind everyone that the week of August 22nd I will be the Guest Curator on Jenny Doh's Cresendoh.  And also will have my Art Saves story.  So don't forget to check it out and leave a comment!!!

Hope all you lovelies have a wonderful week!!!

Magic is Everywhere!

Magic is Everywhere!

I truly believe that magic is everywhere!

It's in the way the trees are when I am laying outside on my lounge and i look up.

It is in the way the full moon looks on the ocean.

It's in the way Lulu digs her scarf out of the pile of wash.

Its in the way Steve gives me that special smile just for me.

Its in the way it feels when it rains on a really hot day.

Its in the way when I watch a butterfly fluttering all around my head.

Its in the way I feel when all my sisters come and we sit around laughing.

Its in the way I see my father flourishing at 83.

Its in the way I see my daughter Nelly with her little family.

So many ways. I could go on and on.

I am so grateful for the magic!

Think about all the magic that is around you.  Even if you are having a tough time of it you can always find some magic. It will help you make it through.

Look for what you can find?

Please visit Paint Party Friday and check out all the magical artists.
