THERE IS NO GREATER LOVE

This is a sad day for our family we lost one of our Matriarchs. The struggle is over. My mom and Aunt Net are together again. Like my Uncle said they are up there already making up some kind of Art project. I have been blessed to be surrounded by these creative strong wonderful souls. I have a heavy heart today.

My Aunt Annette and Uncle Don and my four cousins, Mike, Amy, Chris and Abby lived beside us growing up. The Coleman Family. There was a stepping stone path going between the houses and we even had one of those crank phones that we could call the other family . (It was many a good gag when someone came over to our house and we would tell them to crank the phone and listen and there would be someone on the other end to answer it. They would always look at us like who is this person).

Just some of the great memories I have with our combined families.

I was thinking of some way to pay tribute to my Aunt and this song kept popping in my head. Many a party we would all gather around the player piano and sing songs. We would take turns peddling. (Built very strong leg muscles).

This is one of the most memorable songs from my childhood. I can hear it now. All of us singing on the top of our lungs.   THERE IS NO GREATER LOVE......

This ones for you Aunt Net!

(disclaimeer......i have no idea who these people are in  this video . but this version is the closest that I could get to the music from the player piano  ILove It!)

My condolences to you Heather. Sounds like you have plenty of happy memories to treasure forever - may they help to soften the pain of her passing. Warmest wishes.

Your Aunt is going to be so pleased with this video. While your loved ones create art from the other side and listen to what you have put here on your blog for them. Oh how sweet and beautiful!
Loads of love to you!

I am so sorry to hear your news Heather although I do believe your uncle is right and your mom and aunt are having a joyful reunion!
I lost my mom in '83 and my beloved aunt, her sister, in 2003. For all those intervening years my aunt was like a mom to me and very dear to my sister and I.
I know one for sure...love lives on and warms our hearts even on the coldest day. I wish you and your family much love and days filled with happy memories!

Ahh Heather so sorry to hear this. But I love the idea of them creating together. Still grieving here as my mom died in January. It is never easy, but each day is a little better I think. Have a blessed weekend filled with happy memories.

You and your family are in my thoughts, Heather. Hold on to all of those memories. They will guide you through what might seem to be an impossible dark. We honor those that we have lost by remembering who they truly were.
