Christmas Tree

I am so late tonight! I had to get my hair done. My roots were screaming!!!!! Argh!!
A girls got to do what she's got to do!

I thought I would show you my Christmas Tree this year. It turned out very nicely. I am almost decorated for the holidays.  I'll give you a tour of the house next week. When I am finished.
It is funny! I tend to decorate in red, green and white most of the time. Even when it isn't Christmas. I am just drawn to it.  RED is my favorite color and Green is right next to it.   I was never a blue person but for some reason I am becoming drawn to it. A deep blue, green like the Golden Fluid Acrylic color Turquois (Phthalo). OOOOOOO. So Pretty.  People can change you know.  Maybe I am changing my color pallet like I am changing my life. It is like a shift of thinking. Isn't that great.  You know how people say that a leopard can't change his spots. ( Or something like that).  I don't believe that! I have realized how much I have changed in these last few years.  People can change. It is only human. If you don't change I believe you get stuck and die. I don't mean like you physically die(although some people do) I mean your soul dies. You shrivel up.
 CHANGE IS GOOD.
It keeps us alive.
Gosh I am sorry all I wanted to do is show you my tree and I went off somewhere else.
Thanks for listening.
This angel was given to me by my sister Jamie.  My sister in law died around Christmas time.  So this is to remind us that we have an angel watching us. The face wore off so I painted my own face.  We all have angels watching us and taking care of us. I have many angels.

Okay, I really need to start decorating and getting into the Christmas spirit. I have so much going on, that I forgot why everything is so hectic. (I have to just breathe and enjoy this special time of year with my family) And now I'm getting off-track too :)
Your tree is awesome and the topper--perfect touch, mainly because of why she's there.

Well, I agree with you Heather...we need to keep changing and growing....and it really does spur us on to live life with a fervour that makes us glow!

love your sentiments in this post...thanks for opening up and sharing them!
and as far as roots go...I don't have that problem....not because I don't have any greys yet...because I surely do!, but because I just decided to let this change take place without altering myself. so I find it is a gradual and beautiful change!

that's me, I know it's not for everyone!
lol

have a great day...come by and I'll put a pot on...
ciao bella

Hi Heather, nice to meet you too. I love your blog. Mellow. Your tree is beautiful and I love the Angel. She is beautiful as I'm sure your sis in law was. She is there watching over all of you. I too feel we all have angels watching over us. I know I have my Angel son watching over me always. Now I'm getting off the subject in that I wanted to thank you for following me and I definitely will reciprocate. Happy Holidays/take care.

Heather!! You had me laughing when first you wrote about needing yoru roots done and then "I'm almost decorated for the holidays"--indeed! How do you look? : ) Well all you need is that wonderful smile of yours! Beautiful tree! I have yet to get started with the decorating! : ) Now that the open studio is done, perhaps I can get started this weekend! Have a great day!

Wow that is such an impressive tree! And with such a beautiful angel to top it off. Very touching to think your sister in law is never far away.
I love your little ramble and funnily enough have been recognising a few changes in myself lately too since joining in this bloggy world!
Oh and speaking of roots!.....I'm waaaaaay overdue!! :)

Lovely tree. I am a fan of dark green and burgundy, so Christmas is easy!

And who knew roots could scream?
