Listen and you will see

Some people probably do not know that I meditate.

But I do, as much as I can fit in.

Some weeks not so much and other weeks everyday.

I sit in my quiet space

And I listen

I can always tell when I have not meditated for a while by the way that I feel.

That talking in my head 

I don't think clearly and I am not in the present moment.

I think off the cuff.

I don't sit with what I am feeling at the time.

I act impulsively.

And sometimes I get the outcome that I am Not seeking.

 So I painted this painting to remind me to Listen and you will see.

I will hang this painting at our vacation home just to remind me.

Listen and you will see

Slow the chatter in my head

Listen to what I am saying to myself

Think good thoughts

 Change the negative talk to the positive.

Think good thoughts

 You become what you think you are.

Positive thoughts in, Positive results are created

It was an old painting that I was constantly working on...

I have no problem painting over other paintings. 

(much to the chagrin of my family)

Never get attached.

Cover all of that other painting

The world needs love.

 I think that we all need to stop judging each other.

Let people be.

Stop trying to conform them.

Let them love who they want to love.

Let them wear what they want to wear.

Stopping judging.

We as humans are hardwired this way.

I am going to make it a conscious effort not to judge.

I hope you do too.

It will make the world a much better place.

We all need love in our lives. Not criticism or judgement.

Love is everywhere you look.

If you look for it you will find it.

Hello Everyone!!! I hope you remember me!!! I have been missing for awhile from the Blog scene. 

I have been very melancholy of late.

August is a sad month for me.

My mother and I share a birthday month

I miss her sooooo.

 

 I go through these periods now and then. I always know that I will come out of it sooner or later. 

 This too shall pass.

Big changes in my personal life.

Good but still changes.

I just need to know how to handle them.

(Nothing is wrong with Steve and I. We are great! We will be together for the rest of our lives, going on 26 years, Love that man)

Now I have to think about Big changes in my Art life!

My art life has come to a crossroads. 

 I do not know what I will do at this point.  Do I want to start teaching on line classes?? Or teaching in my community? Do I want to do  different venues to sell my art? Branch out?? Do I want to go digital? Do I just want to do nothing and just do my art for myself? I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up.  I still have not found my voice.

I haven't stopped making art. I couldn't stop if I tried!!

I will just continue to do my art!

I just am confused about the direction I want to go in.

I think it is more fear then anything.

Out of my comfort zone.

 Fear of failure, Fear of Success

Plain old fear!

Feel the fear and do it anyway!

Right!

 I have been back to doing portraits lately.

New Painting

A little different then usual

I am trying to paint intuitively for now.

Something Different.

 

I am so excited!!!

I am going to the beach!!!!

Yayyyy!!!!

I am doing something different again.

I will be going for a month. 

Most likely be home on July 30th.

I am excited but not sure how I will like it.

I have never left HOME for so long.

Not that I am complaining.

Fireworks on the beach all night on July 4th!!

First week will be the girls.

Can't wait to see the little girls in the beach for the first time.

They are soooo cute!

2nd week - Me and the Ladies Painting.

Going to work on a new Mermaid Painting while I am down there.

3rd and 4th week with my gorgeous husband with his new toy!

 

He is so excited about his new toy.  He is like a little boy.

It needs a little TLC but it is all his.

This is my favorite picture of my husband it just shows his personality.

He is a Thrill seeker.

He works hard and plays hard.

So not sure if I will be able to write for the next few weeks.

But if I do not,  have a wonderful July!!

Beautiful Life and Painting Progression

 

Beautiful Life

Well I had a totally different post today and I decided that it was just to negative to put out there into the universe.

I cried my eyes out and took a nap and I feel much better.

(And spoke to a wonderful Fellow Artist that got me through it, Thank you Joann!) 

I have to remember that I have a Beautiful Life 

You got to get thru the bad to get to the good sometimes

Call me a Sensitive Artist.

My 2 sisters and I were at the Garden Party the other day.

I AM POWERFUL

I think sometimes we forget how powerful we are. At least I do.

We sell ourselves short. 

We keep having to remind ourselves.

We are all powerful.

We have the power to change our lives.

Just with a simple action. 

We are as powerful as we want to be.

It is all in our hands. 

When I was younger I always thought that my life was pure luck or I was a victim of circumstances. 

But I realized now, it is not. I created my life the way it is today by putting things in action a long time ago.

Step by step. 

Good or Bad it is the way it is because of our choices.

It is all about the choices.

Think about it!

Working on a New Painting

 I guess I will tell everyone what my news is. I was contacted by Hallmark!! I guess they are looking for some new art and they would like to use some of my art for there greeting cards.  Soooo excited. I signed the first contract.  Just the first step.  And hopefully they can use some of my art.   EEEEEEeeeeee pinch me!

I did not want to say anything until I signed something and I got my W9!

Very excited about it!

 My Father In Law died in January.  He had been ill for some time so I would sit with him. He and I would talk about my art.  He was a great business man and a true believer in me. He kept on saying to me " You need to contact Hallmark".  Well I kind of just thought " You don't just contact Hallmark.  They have there own in house artist" I would sit with him and he kept saying that my art would be perfect for Greeting Cards.  He always thought Big. (I believe there is a lesson there)  In the back of my head I have this feeling that he had something to do with this.  Charley is watching out for me.  I really truly think he had something to do with it!  Things like this happen to me all the time!  I'm not kidding! I have always felt it. 

It's all about the Energy!!!

What happens to people is they stop working and give up right before they are going to fulfill their dream.

Open Your Wings - Trip to Providence and New Paintings

Easier said then done sometimes.

Some times I feel a little wobbly(is that a word?)

Like a baby bird that is just learning to fly

It has been a difficult journey. (Of my own doing)

I just have to learn how to OPEN MY WINGS. 

And Let Goooooooooooo

  

Anyway Steve and I went on a trip to Providence RI for a JLC convention that Steve was attending.

What a great trip.  I came along just for the site seeing.

Steve has been to this convention a couple of times and always said he wanted me to come along because he knew I would love the architecture.

So this year since I am on my own (No Corporate Job) I went along.

I just hung out by myself during the day. While everyone else (Nelly,Steve and Mike) went to classes.

It was a blast! 

I forgot my camera, as usual and just took some from my i phone. 

 

Steve skipped an afternoon class to go walking with me.
