I managed to do some Sunday Sketches this week. I am taking a Alisa Burke Class it is so fun. I love how she took so much care in making this class. You can tell. Whoever is interested in learning to sketch or just wants a booster to get your juices flowing should take this class. It is very affordable and you will learn alot! It is soooo worth it!
I have been very busy working on a larger piece of art that I am putting in Hello Bluebird Shop. Just putting the icing on the cake so to speak. Not named yet.
Here is a peek..
Still alot to be done.
I will be taking a Brave Girl ecourse in April that I am very excited about. And I am saying this now.... I AM GOING TO Brave Girl Camp. That is one of my goals. One of these days. Heidi and Nelly I hope you are in....
But anyway what I am trying to say is that I am sorry for only blogging once a week lately. I am going to at least try for 2 times a week. I just think I was forgetting about the work and spending to much time on the Internet. It is something I am trying to figure out. I work a full time job at an insurance company (don't ask. I don't know what happened ) and then I come home and I am trying to juggle with making art and creating my blog post and visiting people. It is so hard sometimes. I get burned out. I am not complaining because I know this is what I have to do for right now.
I am exhausted but I have never felt so alive!!! So here is to making time for the ART!!!!!
Go visit everyone at Sunday Sketches. Thank goodness for them because it forces me to just go that bigger step for the sake of Art.
Hi Heather!
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful!
I know what you mean. I work full-time too and there is only so much time for art or other things. Just do what you can (and come to Paint Party Friday!! You don't have to have to show finished pieces all the time, the main goal is to help us all to make progress) - that's what I say to myself.
Alisa's little video on her sketchbook really influenced my latest "Mexican Sketchbook". I may have to check out that course. These are really lovely!
And Hello Bluebird would be perfect for PPF! ;)
It is great!
Hope feeling alive continues to outweigh the exhaustion!
xo
I like the idea of blogging once a week. So good to embrace all the things that are important to us. I love each piece you shared in this post. They are sweet and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour ecourses sounds inspiring and I look forward to hearing more about your participation in those.
ReplyDeletebeautiful colors and lines in your sketches. The last one is looking great!
These are beautiful! I'm going to have to check out her classes. Any other good e-courses you could recommend? I am definitely looking for some classes to take online.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work. It is stressful working full time and trying to make time for everything else, but at least you're feeling good about where you are with your artwork right now.
Oh you speak the words out of my mouth...but feeling alive far outways the tiredness..well hopefully anyways!
ReplyDeleteI so love your art and the swirls that are always there...beautiful beautiful :)x
i love these, especially your girl with the bird! I too work full time...it's so hard to find time for art, but next week I'm on vacation, so hopefully I'll find time then! have a good week! xoxo
ReplyDeleteYou know I am a huge fan of your work. HUGE FAN! and these do not dissapoint. I think my favorite is the girl with the bird, too. I love how you rendered her hair. Just everything about it is divine.
ReplyDeleteThe next to last line in your post is perfect. Great words to live by.
Love these especially the girl and bird... great work... I hear you.. juggling work, art, blog, family, etc, not necessarily in that order.... great fun though
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to what you are saying about burnout. Only last night I was thinking that something has to give... I'm so run down at the moment, and although I love blogging, and art and all the online community, maybe a week off and doing nothing every evening is what's in order. I'm working long hours with the day job (the one that pays the bills), so need to keep well. I'm freelance too, so can't afford to take time off sick. I think we pile too much pressure on ourselves sometimes. I feel guilty if I'm not doing 'something'. Let's promise each other that we take a good rest in the next few days!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the lady and bird. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
ReplyDeletebeautiful sketches you have today, I love patterns and the colours are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful...that Alisa Burke class sounds soooo fun! I will have to pop over to her blog. Also, nice job on the hello bluebird...It's so wonderful to hear how "in love" you are with creating your art....isn't that the best feeling, doing something you love. I am very happy for you and your art! enjoy your sunday! xo
