That means also for ourselves. Sometimes we forget.
Sometimes we are so hard on ourselves.
We forget to say.....
It's OK Sweetie! Everything is OK.
We are so hard on ourselves.
Say it to yourself!
I know it sounds silly but try saying it.
It feels weird and awkward.
But after a while it gets easier.
Soothe yourself....
We forget sometimes how to do that.
Let the love in.
Love & forgive yourself
I am getting better at it.
I'm doing the work.
I am sooooo a Pollyanna!
Don't forget to visit all the artist at
Pollyanna was my favourite book as a child and I often turn to the Glad Game to get me through :).

ReplyDeleteBeautiful painting and beautiful words. Love the warm tones.
ReplyDeleteI've been practicing this very thing this week!! Well, those aren't the exact words I've been saying to myself, but I've been trying to see myself as I see others, which is with kind eyes. I never tear other people down like I do myself..never ever. Why is it so difficult to be nice to ourselves? sigh.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love your wonderful creativity, Heather, and am thoroughly enjoying browsing through your posts! :D
ReplyDeleteI wholeheartedly believe in telling myself "It's okay, sweetie," and do it often, in fact. :) Great post!

Heather, your face is so gorgeous. I love the sweet expression. It's good to be reminded of your message often.
ReplyDeleteI tried to be careful about keeping self-talk kind and positive when I had children around. Now I am an empty nester, I have noticed I have gotten harsher on myself. The other day I was at the coop and packing my groceries, and scolding myself, said, "I'm no good at this." The young bagger looked me in the eyes, and calmly said, "You're perfect." It was a real waker-upper. Thank goodness there are good moms and dads and kids out there.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful words and painting~
ReplyDeleteWe do need to remind ourselves!
Thanks for this message :D
Ahhh, I needed this! Both the happy, beautiful orange and your words:-)
