Everything about this statement is so true. I truly believe that we choose our own Happiness. I think we choose what and how we react to things.
You choose your thoughts. You choose whether you want to keep dwelling on these thoughts or you let them go. Do you want to choose good thoughts or bad thoughts?
I would rather choose good thoughts.
What is your alternative??
I know sh** happens! It does, but you have to choose how you are going to react to them. I know I sound like a Pollyanna.
That's OK!
I do have my dark days. But they are becoming less and less as I realize I am in control of my thoughts and how I react.
So this painting will be hanging on my back door. So when I leave everyday I will be reminded........
I Will Choose Happiness
Have a great week everyone!
Happy Easter!
Don't for get to visit Paint Party Friday!
What a great post! I'm with you . I have had a long week and trying. It can be difficult, but I choose happiness too. Thanks soul sister

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. I choose happiness too of course but like you said s... happens and when it does it is hard to stay controlled. Perhaps I will make a sign for myself and hang it up where I can remind myself. Thanks for the idea. Happy Easter, nice work.
ReplyDeleteOh I love that! I will choose happiness, over and over despite the obstacles that try to detract me. Thanks for the reminder. :)
ReplyDeleteTerrific idea and a great post. Love your sign. Happy PPF and have a blessed Easter, Annette x
ReplyDeleteSuch a great reminder... I love Pollyannas...much more fun to spend time with than a misery Mary... I think you are always positive and you always brighten my day so thanks for that... hope you have a happy and safe Easter...xx
ReplyDeleteThanks for this wonderful reminder! Happy Easter, Valerie
ReplyDeleteSometimes hard to do but a wonderful plan! Love the photos in the post below too, looks like fun playing with all those effects!
ReplyDeleteTalk about synchronicity, I never heard of this Pollyanna till last week reading the book, " Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway ". Pollyannas are definitely way cool!!!!What you wrote is so true. We always have the power to choose how we react and perceive what happens. I truely believe there is always a good reason for everything and it is all for the purpose of our spiritual evolution! Thanks for such a loving and uplifting post! Hugs, Deb
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful way to remind yourself!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you 100%. I love the saying: Why choose to fail when success is an option. :) Happy Easter! :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful post, and I couldn't agree more. Making that choice for joy is what gets me through the day while living in chronic pain.
ReplyDeleteHeather, what a day brightener your post is today! I needed that word of encouragement and the reminder that we do indeed have a choice in how we react to circumstances. Your artwork is gorgeous. I love everything about it. I hope you don't have trouble getting to comment in my blog this week. I changed it and am now protected only by moderator approval.

Yes, this is a great post. Negativity breeds more negativity. It's best to turn your attention to something positive when you feel down or bad things happen. There's always a silver lining! Happy Easter and ppf. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou are so right! I love this idea, and the painting.
ReplyDeletelove the idea of putting this where you see it on the way out. I might have to come up with something similar. And I really like the leaves especially - the details add a lot of interest
