Some of you may remember the journal I talked about that I bought at the Fish Market in Seattle.
Here are some of the pages in the journal
I have had so many journals through the years. Watercolor Journals, Portrait Journals, Big Moleskins, Little Moleskins. And I still have not found the ultimate journal yet!!! Still searching .
Anyway these are some of my pages.
I think having an art journal is so important. Just trying out new ideas. Seeing what
works and what doesn't. They are a learning tool.
Everyone get your Journals out and start learning!
Only way you get better is by making the mistakes.
You can see how it is piling. (Am I spelling that right?)
Collaged on paper. I think that is what I will have to do with this journal from now on the paper is too flimsy.
Just some ink (Watercolor seeped through from other side)
Mixed Media (acrylic,watercolor,markers) Just playing.
INK
But I had such high hopes. It was so pretty!!!
Oh Well, I will make it work!
Happy PPF everyone!!! Come and visit the other wonderful artist and look at their wonderful work. I am always inspired every week.
There are so many people now it is so hard to get to everyone every week.
Hi Heather, great journal pages! I think of my journals as practice for me in different types of media, and I am so happy I can share them and learn from other artists too.
ReplyDeleteThe journal is terrific. Thank you for sharing. Blessings, Janet PPF
ReplyDeleteVery cool pages!
ReplyDeleteThe top page and tolerance are my favourites... I like the fact that you can close up a journal on a page you don't like... or just paper it over and so you can make millions of mistakes ... it is such a great tool xx
ReplyDeleteI don'y know which one I like best! They are a party for the eyes for sure! I think maybe the orange is my favorite... ☺
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful. I especially love the first and last ones. I know what you mean about the journal pages - I found that with the journal we had for the sketchbook project last year - not too kind to watercolour.
ReplyDeleteLovely pages, but I know what you mean about the paper - I wrote about it on my blog today, too! My next journal will have good quality paper even if I have to starve for it! (Probably will, too!!) Have a good day, Valerie
ReplyDeleteLove seeing all the pages from the art journal. :) I agree with you on importance of an art journal.
ReplyDeleteThank you for showing your thoughts and pages from the journals, have loved viewing them. Happy PPF, Annette x

I love your journal, full of detail and color. It feels to me that you are inspired by Oprah life class. Love it!! Happy Paint Party friday!
ReplyDeleteI love these pages, Heather!
ReplyDeleteI adore the idea of a journal....absolutely am in awe of other artist's pages...but just can't embrace the whole journal thing for myself...hmmm.
I do have one. Maybe I should Force myself to carry it around?
I especially like the quote of her feeling the fear....but doing it anyway!
LOVE all these journal pages- I'm part of a round robin of sketchbooks, and I feel like you just described the variety I've been encountering- I finally bought some canvas paper and now collage my entries whenever I get a flimsy journal......
ReplyDeleteHappy PPF,
Stephanie
