Time Ticking in My Head


Sometimes I feel like time is just ticking away. I don't mean to be negative but sometimes it scares me. I feel that I will not be able to do all the things I wanted to do. 
Being that I think I just woke up from a long nap!!( I mean from life).
I want to make a difference in peoples lives somehow.

How can I make a difference??

That is why I call this piece " Time is Ticking in My Head. When I  look in her face she shows just a bit of fear.
 
That is why you all have to live everyday to the fullest. I am trying!!
Live to the Fullest. It sounds so cliche.
Live now don't wait! Waiting is for the birds. Act now. Not tomorrow. Don't wait for your life to come to you!! You have to make your life.
ACTION!!!
I am so jazzed about my foot being healed so I can exercise and get some of the excess weight off!!! Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!

Covered an old canvas with paper

Sketched a face

I always start the face first.
Added background stamps and wash of paint.

When I get that face that is when I decide what the piece will be

Some hair

Band for the hat and ruffle around the neck(book pages)

Embellishments
Old clock face, leaves, old chandelier piece, crystal.

    I just had to click for a super duper close up view! I love the limited palette....really speaks to the fear and "trapped" in time kind of feel...
    Her eyes are so warm and buttery....like melted caramels :)

    Oh this is so fun, I love how you showed us how she progressed! She came out beautiful! And I sooooo know what ya mean about time!!! I'm dealing with issues of being too shy to say my feelings and yet worrying that if I take too long the opportunity slips away.     This is awesome! Yes, time is ticking and it's time to act. I didn't get fear from her face, maybe more determination. She seems to be thinking, "I'm gonna do this!" I love that the clock doesn't have any hands. So yes, time is ticking, but there are no deadlines. Really love this piece, happy PPF!

    Fabulous!! i love the earth tones - they work so well here. She is beautiful and yes you captured the bit of fear very well. The embellishments are fabulous and remind me a bit of Alice - with the Mad Hatter's hat and the White Rabbit's timepiece.

    Oh THANK YOU for showing your work in stages. Sometimes I look at a painting and think "It's lovely, but it's not my style" and I move past it.     Heather, this is wonderful. i love everything about it, her sweet face, the colours and sepia vintage look to it, the steampunk feel it has and especially the inspiration behind it! you are so right, i get frstrated so often sitting in a job i hate that life is passing me by and there's a whole world i want to see-just waiting on that lottery win to facilitate it though! sorry for fraking you out with my vegan post, by the way!

    I want to thank you too for showing your work in stages. I see all kinds of work that I love but I am like how did they do that? I get so intimidated and overwhelmed that it blocks me from even trying. (sad, I know) but seeing how you did this is so great - it will helps me learn new techniques to start.
