view--until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it.

Nelle Harper Lee
My mother handed this book to me when I was 12. It changed my life forever. It was so insightful. I was Scout.
I found out I could get lost in a book.
That I could learn important lessons within those pages.
I found my love for reading.
Life changing!
I later named
My daughter Nelly Lee.
Family Photo from New Hampshire, Franklin Pierce.
So proud of Isaac!
Went to see my 2 favorite boys this week playing the games they love!

Yes - what a great book the MockingBird is - I had the privilege of reading it to my English class when I taught high school. I love your art work - it has many elements to uncover.

Exciting and bold, really like your work!
Phantom loved To Kill A Mockingbird and when she told me that I knew she was my kid and hadn't been swapped at the hospital.... it is a right of passage I think to read it and I always as a touch suspicious and wary of people who haven't read it!!! Love the pic this week... it is very strong and so beautifully rendered...xx

Love your collage/painting! I have one of those papers. I was forced to read that book in school, where we then had to completely dissect it, which takes all the joy out of a book for me. I don't want to try to figure out what the author really meant by every little thing, I just want to read the book. Maybe I should read it again now, just for the pleasure of reading.
oh what a great new piece and love all of your photos too!!! hope you have a super long weekend!!!
Heather, i had a lot of catching up to do here on your blog... i LOVE LOVE this one. And for the record, i think we ALL thought we were Scout. :-) I surely did.
All of your work is absolutely stunning. You're a master with color combinations. Wonderful words too... xoxo
